We have had several users on Windows 11 having trouble re-opening their Project Files and finding that some or all of their Designs/layers were missing; when One Drive or the Desktop is used to store files.
The detail of the issue is that the file is closed before Quick Pole is finished writing to the file. This prevents Quick Pole from opening one or more of the Design layers as the they must be 100% complete.
One Drive, like most cloud-based file file systems, uses a local cached file copy and a remote file location, plus a lot of synchronization processes. Somehow the Windows 11 version of One Drive operates differently than under Windows 10, and data is being lost under Quick Pole. We are searching for a solution.
At this time we urge all Quick Pole users to avoid placing Quick Pole project files on One Drive or your Desktop. Either place them on your C: drive or a corporate server with daily backups that is mapped to a drive letter or other accessible network address.
