In this update there is a new option for "Existing Wires" at Installation Time. This will show you the profile of wires AFTER they have seen the worst permanent elongation from Creep or Load, at the temperature noted for Installation/measured conditions. This can be extremely useful to model existing wires in the field that are not new and you want to match existing tension conditions as close as possible.
To match tensions with existing conditions, you create or import a Clearance Point or Mid-Span Point with a measured height at that location. This will put a marker on the Span Profile. Then, with the Existing Wires at Installation selected, iteratively adjust the tension of the wire until the wire passes through this marker location. Be sure to change the Installation temperature to the air temperature on the day/time the measured height was taken. This is available from IKE imports and other field data collected.
