As many are aware, Quick Pole is an application that runs on Java. This allows us to easily deploy the software to customers using Windows, Mac and Linux computers. Since the version of Java that Quick Pole is deployed with has evolved and the amount of memory in the average computers has increased significantly, it is time to take advantage of these developments.
For Quick Pole this just means changing of a settings file. While not absolutely necessary, these new settings will improve response time and enable even larger projects without memory swapping in/out to disk.
To take advantage of these new settings, you can either re-install Quick Pole from our website or contact us for a new settings file. In both cases you will need Administrative access to your machine.
There have been a few settings files deployed with the installers recently, and one of them was found to prevent Quick Pole files from opening properly. If this is the case for you, please contact us or re-install from our website.
