Mid Span Calculations are updated

Unread postby Sonideft » Mon Aug 20, 2012 7:30 pm

Quick Pole now does an even better job detecting mid-span clearance issues between Power and Communication attachments. It detects all conditions required by the CSA Standard and most of the NESC requirements as well. Clearances between line of sight of the communication attachments and the Power wire sag mid-span are calculated, plus the special case allowed for spans over 75 meters for Neutral wires. Taking advantage of the new Non-Linear Sags & tensions ability of Quick Pole, this is all done in level or unlevel/inclined spans with different attachment heights and pole elevations. Quick Pole will now report to you how far out from which pole is the actual mid-span point of the power wire sag and tell you just how close you are to the communications line of sight. While some of this information is displayed to you immediately in the form of warnings, the Mid-Span Clearances Report has been greatly improved to highlight these new details.
