New Feature Addition to Quick Pole

Quick Pole now automatically calculates the worst possible angle for wind to act on a pole and their wire attachments; which creates the worst possible stresses on each pole and their supporting guys/anchors (if present). Each wire/cable's wind loads are computed on a pole and combined with a special algorithm with all other pole attachments to determine the maximum impact direction for the wind forces. This direction takes into account the orientation of support guys so that the wind forces act against the guys and not to lessen their loads. This computed wind angle has been added to the "Overview Report" for each structure so that you can see the angle that was computed. No matter how many poles you have on a project's Work Plan, this 'Wind Angle" is computed for each pole individually as part of the "Analysis" step.
Rest assured : The maximum tension of wires and cables are not impacted by this wind angle calculation at all. They are calculated independently, as required by CSA and NESC standards.
