End of Study Structure feature added , plus others

Unread postby Sonideft » Mon May 12, 2014 11:03 am

A couple of updates were released today that should be of interest:

1) An "End of Study Structure" feature has been added which allows you to ignore the loading analysis for specific poles. For many projects you will need to place additional poles to the ones you may be attaching in order to capture the proper span length and determine the loads. These additional poles are required to best define the loads on the poles you are really interested in, but you don't need to analyze them. By right-clicking on a pole in the Work Plan View, you can check the "End of Study Structure" checkbox. These extra poles will be listed in the appropriate reports, but without their loading analysis results. This feature allows you to focus more on the important items of your project.
2) A "Project Analysis Summary" report is now available at the Project Level Reporting that summarizes the worst analysis results at each pole, on a one line per pole basis. This report will capture a summary of Pole Loading results, guy loading, anchor loading, attachment tensions, Mid-Span warnings, On pole separation issues and Soil strength issues.
3) Less significant enhancements include adding a cable listing to the Sag & Tension Calculator's Ruling Span Report, adding a field on the Mid-Span Separations Report to show the effective elevation difference seen by each attachment, plus more explanatory notes on this same report.
