Enhancements to Sag & Tension Reporting

Unread postby Sonideft » Wed Dec 19, 2012 1:43 am

Quick Pole has been updated to contain even more information in its Sag & Tension Reports. There is a quick Summary of Sag & Tension results for attachments in Projects, as well as a more Detailed Report that contains much more specific information to drill down into; as desired. Each set of reports highlights the key set of information required for the Structural Analysis of Pole Lines. For example, for Power Wires and Communication Messengers/Strands, the summary includes the tension to be used inline on the supporting poles, the Vertical Load (maximum and minimum) and the Lateral Wind Load that the poles need to support. Unlike other programs that just give you one value for the Tension, Quick Pole shows you each component that the poles need to support, AND that you can directly correlate on the Attachment Load Reports. Each value used in the Analysis is directly traceable to how it was created.

Quick Pole also calculates the minimum vertical load (or uplift) that can be experienced with the attachments found over a wide range of conditions. It will tell you under what condition this occurred and the uplift (force) calculated. This can be used to assess attachment hardware limits, plus being important for Standards compliance in CSA Grade 1 areas; as an example.
